Glaucoma is a group of diseases that gradually steal sight without warning. Loss of vision caused by damage to the optic nerve. Early detection is essential to halt the progression of the disease, stop, then they are just the thing. The wall thinning of the cornea may indicate damage to the optic nerve, so that your eye doctor wants to try. We will send you a test for glaucoma, and if the test is positive, begin treatment.

There is no cure for glaucoma, although many scientists who are on others. However, medications can slow or surgery or to prevent loss of sight or stop it before it starts. Probably just have eye drops on a daily basis if you have glaucoma.

I would like to correct the previous post, I said the high pressure inside the eye as a result. Although it was thought that), high intraocular pressure (eye pressure or IOP, the main cause of this optic nerve damage, we now know that other factors must also be included, because the people can also occur with "normal" pressureThis loss of vision from glaucoma. The IOP is clearly a risk factor, but not the only cause.

Some risk factors are:
Corneal thickness (less than 5 mm risk factors)
Diabetes
Hypertension
extreme myopia
Seniors
Steroids

We hope this was useful and good luck
